Paul Kotcher
Director of Leasing
A real estate professional since 1987, Paul Kotcher is director of leasing for Brickman. Mr. Kotcher has over 20 years of experience in leasing, and is responsible for marketing and leasing the firm's office portfolio. In addition, he is also a key member of the firm's acquisition team responsible for underwriting and establishing the base acquisition parameters. He has been with Brickman in this capacity since the firm was founded.
Mr. Kotcher has worked on some of the highest profile buildings in New York City. In one of his most noteworthy achievements, Mr. Kotcher took 712 Fifth Avenue, on behalf of then owner The Taubman Company, from 15% to 100% leased. He then assisted in the sale of the building for $525 per square foot, the highest price ever paid for a major New York City office tower at that time. The buyer, The Paramount Group, then retained Mr. Kotcher as agent.
Over the past five years, Mr. Kotcher has been involved in the acquisition, lease up, and sale of 150 East 52nd Street and 660 Madison Avenue in New York City, 150 West Jefferson in Detroit, 1225 19th Street in Washington DC, and 3 Huntington Quadrangle on Long Island. In both New York cases taking mid 20% vacancies to 100% capacity and at 660 Madison, again assisted in setting the record for the highest sale price for a building in its class.
Prior to Joining Brickman, Mr. Kotcher was with Peter R. Friedman Ltd. for five years and with Grubb & Ellis before that where he started his career.
Mr. Kotcher holds a B.S. degree from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. He is married with two children and is an avid golfer and skier.
