Brickman purchased a loan portfolio through an existing relationship with a financial institution. The portfolio consisted of four assets in disparate locations across the United States. The firm believed that due to its low costs basis that value could be unlocked through improved operations and upgrades to the facilities.

Located in Florida, Michigan, New Jersey, and Nebraska, the assets include a limited service hotel, assisted living facilities, and two nursing homes.

Brickman recapitalized the assets, invested in upgrades to the properties, and has since realized high returns.
