1280 Fifth Ave | New York, NY
Brickman was selected by the Museum for African Art through a "request for proposals" process to develop a new home for the Museum at the end of the Museum Mile, 5th Avenue and East 110th Street. Located at the Northeast corner of Central Park, and designed by Robert A.M. Stern, the new Museum will become a cultural asset for New York City and a gateway to Harlem. Brickman saw the investment opportunity to develop luxury for-sale housing in this neighborhood which is undergoing a cultural and economic renaissance. Construction will soon be complete on the Museum and 116 high-end condominiums above the Museum. Most of the residencies will have unobstructed views, as the condominiums start on the 6th floor of the complex. The project broke ground in 2007. For more information please see www.1280fifth.com.
